Les Aus is an accidental way of bending the raw and electric classic rock into improvised landscapes of sound that blend into some sort of folk-esque and acid kind of punk. I can immagine how it might be hard to understand what is actually going on if you have never seen them on stage. The fact that they used all sorts of random and non-complex at all instruments - such as recorders, spanish guitars, toys, xylophones, droney electric guitars , etc - plays a big role in this album and the "accidentality" of it. And even aware of that, and the way the whole album has been recorded - the songs were recorded in different daily-life places using different dynamics, some of them being pretty rustic - "Haranna Hanne" tries to give you images of natural and fantastic views and to tell you a story about a magical trip. The band - before called The Cheese, changed their name into Les Aus last year 2005 - are a two piece, Dalmau Boada and Arnau Sala, both have been playing together since year 1999 in various groups and projects. This is their first long release ever since they changed their name. It has also been released in america thru Simple Social Graces from New York city (they also pressed a vinyl version of it).
