On this newest 10 inch vinyl release from Jimmy Cousins (rare first pressing of only 300), he has enlisted a few of his closest-perspective conspirators: Jonah Rapino = violins, Brendan Wood = lap steel synth, and Jeff Mott = lead guitar on "The Lion and The Sun". Once again, he and his cast of sound sailors have outdone themselves! In these times of sound jumpers and glossy lensed instrumentation, it's few and far between that you're able to share a moment of your life with the sounds of authenticity. That being said, Mr. Cousins and his crew have shown us again that a perfectly-shaped wheel is all you need to get to where you're going. Rather than delve into descriptions of each of the 7 songs that this album contains, let's just say that it will have you trading your ipod for a john boat, and inspire you to clap and stomp along with songs that could turn alligators into docile boatside pets and use would-be frills for fishing bait. Extremely recommended!!
