I ask for but a moment of your time. Please, please imagine lepoard-skin leotards and liberal facepaint on the prairie. Because it’s pretty much the exciting dichotomy that has dominated every sense since I first heard Doctor Ponie, Medicine Ponie by Dangerous … Ponies. (Go figure!)
Bottle excitement and love and seven whole people, arms and legs and rosy cheeks and positive attitudes aplenty, and know that this is the phenomenal result. The Zombies, Of Montreal, Tilly and the Wall, Animal Collective all serve as influences for this band, but the real deciding factor is a three year old nannied by one band member decides what tracks become Dangerous Ponies masterpieces! Too. Rad.
Dear Dangerous Ponies,
I want to be best friends with you, Dangerous Ponies. You’re a clever blend of excitement and proper form and you can be hyped about what you do and still be good at what you do. Overwhelming adorableness and elementary school sing-a-longs should never pair so well with $3.47 wine straight from the bottle (half of the second ends up spilt on the lawn.)
Sincerely,
MaryLynneMACRoCk
PS- Check out Punk Rock Payroll label mates The Extraordinaires!
My favorite track’s at 3:57! A band about having fun and letting people be people!
